In his inbound and outbound immigration practice, Akshat excels in providing diligent advocacy and simplified immigration solutions to budding entrepreneurs, established companies, and growing families. He possesses more than fifteen years of combined immigration law experience at firms in Bellevue, Boston, and Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Seattle University School of Law, and as a licensed attorney in the State of Washington, and authorized to represent clients in immigration matters across the United States.
Akshat represents clients in a wide variety of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, including visas for trainees, interns, investors, specialty occupation temporary workers, intracompany transferees, athletes and entertainment groups, religious workers, NAFTA professionals, and permanent residence for companies and self-petitioners. His business immigration client base includes companies from industries as diverse as architecture, arts and culture, global shipping and logistics, information technology, industrial manufacturing, health and wellness, oil and gas, and veterinary services. He also finds immense satisfaction reuniting families by helping obtain visas for visitors, fiancé(e)s, spouses, parents, and battered individuals, in addition to helping permanent residents preserve their status in this country and become naturalized citizens. In 2013, he acquired the business and family immigration practice of Mr. Ketu Shah, following Mr. Shah’s appointment as a King County District Court judge.
Akshat emigrated from India and is a naturalized United States citizen. He has lived on four continents and, he speaks five languages: English, Spanish, Catalan, Gujarati and Hindi. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Bellevue, a former board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, and a pro bono attorney for the Eastside Legal Assistance Program. In the spare time he finds from raising his two boys with his wife, Akshat is an ardent follower of the tactics, business, and culture of soccer/fútbol.
